¶ Project example: renovating a house or flat
This example demonstrates how it’s possible to organize a project of house or flat renovation.
The first thing we’re going to start with is creating a new project “Renovating our Home Sweet Home” at doBoard.
Go to the Project menu.
Click the New project link and give your new project a name and a description.
Add new members to the project, input email addresses of those employees who will be busy implementing the project.
We have defined the following plan of actions:
- Room design development.
- Quantity calculation of necessary materials for the renovation.
- Contractor selection.
- Procurement of necessary materials.
- Moving the belongings out of the house, dismantling and trash cleaning.
- Electrical wiring installation.
- Leveling of walls, ceilings, floors.
- Clean finishing.
- Choosing new furniture, decor elements, ordering them.
New Boards will be created in accordance with our plan, that will make it easier to distribute the tasks between the workers.
Now new tasks need to be created in each Board, deadline time and dates and workers should be set as well.
Other tasks need to be distributed in other Boards the same way. Your contractor or other workers can add their comments, advice, suggestions, remarks of how any task should be done.
Through planning and control over the progress of the work, you will never forget about a single detail and save your money and time.
